Dr. Vinod V is a renowned Spine Surgeon in Kerala and serves as the Director – Spine Services in the Spine Surgery (Orthopaedics) department at Aster MIMS Calicut. With over 19 years of rich experience, he has established himself as a highly skilled specialist in orthopaedics and spine surgery, known for his clinical expertise, surgical precision, and patient-centred approach.
He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thrissur, followed by MS (Orthopaedics) from Government Medical College, Calicut. He further pursued DNB (Orthopaedics) from the National Board of Examinations, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and completed his FNB (Fellow of National Board) in Spine Surgery from Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He also underwent an AO Spine Fellowship at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, and a visiting fellowship in Spine Surgery at Cleveland Hospital, Florida.
Dr. Vinod has a special interest in minimally invasive spine surgery and complex spinal deformities. Before joining Aster MIMS Calicut, he worked at esteemed hospitals across Tamil Nadu and Kerala, where he gained extensive experience in managing a wide spectrum of spinal disorders. He continues to contribute significantly to advanced spine care, training, and academic development in the field.
